Accessibility Statement

Koren Publishers Jerusalem is committed to making the Koren Tefilla website accessible to the widest possible public, including people with disabilities. We work to make the site accessible in line with Israeli Standard IS 5568 and the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA.

Level of accessibility

We make every effort to keep this site accessible. As of the date of this statement, some parts of the site fully meet the accessibility requirements while others conform only partially (see "Known limitations" below). We continue to improve the site's accessibility on an ongoing basis.

Accessibility features on this site

  • Semantic structure: headings, lists and content regions are marked up so screen readers can convey them.
  • Keyboard operation: the site can be navigated and its controls operated with a keyboard alone.
  • Skip to content: a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page jumps straight to the main content.
  • Visible focus: the keyboard focus indicator is shown clearly as you navigate.
  • Accessibility toolbar: every page offers an accessibility toolbar in the corner of the screen, with high contrast, grayscale, sepia, link highlighting and a stronger keyboard-focus indicator. Your choice is remembered in your browser.
  • Reduced motion: visitors whose operating system requests reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion) are shown the opening screen in its final, settled state, without the animated sequence.

Known limitations

  • The app demonstration: the home page embeds a live demonstration of the Tefilla app a mobile product shown for illustration only. This component may not be fully accessible to screen readers. An accessible alternative to the information it presents is the site's own textual content the texts, articles and information about the app which is available to read and navigate.
